Alessandro Maida alias Scarful (1968) è un grafico/artista e art director di Roma. Dopo gli studi artistici e quelli universitari in architettura, si appassiona a tutto ciò che è grafica/illustrazione e lettering ed inizia a lavorare come impaginatore di cataloghi (Agenzia Contrasto) per poi formare il gruppo Hateful Graphic Vandals (1995) con alcuni writers/artisti della scena grafica romana. Produce i primi lavori di grafica con il nome di Scarful. Lavora con il gruppo musicale ZU, proucendo tutta la grafica che riguarda il gruppo, e continua la sua attività di art director con alcune agenzie di comunicazione a Roma. Nel 2000 apre con "amici" il laboratorio artistico/serigrafico STRAIGHT TO HELL dove produce serigrafie, stickers, t-shirts, stampe. Insieme a Joe, Nico, Pane e Stand fa parte del gruppo artistico WHY STYLE con il quale ha realizzato diverse mostre ed eventi, "Tricks/Names" al Palazzo delle Esposizioni, "Playground" alla Galleria d'Arte il Mascherino a Roma, "Now Underground" a Milano e "Nusign 2.4" a Parigi.
